The Coloradan Community Foundation

Celebrating arts and education at The Coloradan

The Coloradan Community Foundation was established in 2019 to support arts, education, culture, and social welfare in the community surrounding The Coloradan. Currently, the Foundation’s funding goes to support the creation and management of Union Hall, an 1,800 square foot community-focused arts and culture space in the ground floor of The Coloradan (1750 Wewatta Street, Denver). Union Hall opened in 2019, with art exhibitions, cultural programming, and creative events that encourage public engagement with the art community.

The Foundation will continue to operate exclusively for charitable, cultural, educational, and recreational purposes. Its goal is to improve the  community of the Coloradan by supporting arts and education within the community and promoting social welfare through the funding of other non-profit organizations.

Funding for the Foundation comes from a one-half of one percent (0.5%) transfer assessment on real estate sales within The Coloradan. This includes residential sales, sales of apartment buildings and sales of retail condominiums. The Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.
